“Reverse 1999” is a strategy game developed by Bluepoch. The game will be launched in mainland China on May 31, 2023. Before its official release, the game went through multiple closed tests, starting on January 7, 2022, and then on June 10, 2022. It will be officially launched in China in May 2023. Subsequently, a global version beta test was conducted from August 4 to 13, 2023, and released globally on October 26, 2023.

“Reverse 1999 Gameplay” is a turn-based RPG game with a unique card system for combat. In the game, each character has his or her own set of abilities. They have passive skills, two spell cards, and an ultimate card. These cards have different star ratings, ranging from one to three stars. Players can combine cards of the same star rating to make them stronger and cause more damage.
Characters in the game are divided into six different groups, or “Afflatus”: Mineral, Beast, Plant, Star, Spirit, and Intellect. They can cause two types of damage: physical damage and psychological damage. These groups interact in specific ways, dealing 30% extra damage to enemies with weaker inspiration. Additionally, mental and intellectual characters deal 30% more damage to each other.
The game also features an “Adjust Skills” feature that allows players to strategize by randomizing or upgrading cards without spending resources called Action Points (AP). During battle, you can have up to three characters in your party (except in special circumstances), and if one of the characters is defeated, a fourth character can be used as a substitute.
Reversal of the plot of 1999
“Reverse 1999” tells the story of a young girl known as “The Timekeeper”. On December 31, 1999, just as the clock was about to strike midnight, a strange phenomenon called “The Storm” appeared, pushing everything back to the past. It brings the world back to the old days, eliminating modern parties, neon lights and late-night buses.
The timekeeper was the only one unaffected by the storm. She has the ability to travel through time and space and has witnessed the beginning and end of countless eras. During her time travels, she made friends as arcanists from different times and places. Her role is to help them escape the effects of the “Storm” and cope with the challenges of this unusual and changing world.
