About Slothrust

Slothrust is an American alternative rock band formed in 2010 in Boston, Massachusetts. The band consists of Leah Wellbaum (vocals, guitar) and Will Gorin (drums), who began working together while studying at Sarah Lawrence College. The band’s name combines Wellbaum’s previous project “Slothbox” with “rust”, which symbolizes the passage of time. Their debut album “Feels Your Pain” gained attention with the lead single “7:30 AM”.

Slothrust continued to evolve, releasing albums like Of Course You Do and Everyone Else, exploring themes of love and existential angst. In 2018, they released The Pact, and underwent lineup changes in 2021. Despite the challenges, they released Parallel Timeline in 2021, and marked their ten-year journey in 2023 with the I Promise EP and a tour celebrating their 2014 album.
