This update focuses on adding special Splatfest data and making adjustments to multiplayer.

We’ve made it easier to leverage the strengths of some primary weapons, and added options for other primary weapons that serve a similar purpose.

Additionally, we’ve made combat easier with the primary weapon paired with the Curling Bomb.

We’ve also made adjustments to some special weapons. We’ve adjusted the amount of damage Killer’s Cry 5.1 does to compensate for the fact that many players are now used to avoiding it. For Kraken Royale, we’ve made adjustments to give players more options beyond charge attacks. With Trizooka, we made it more difficult to accidentally hit an opponent while retaining the player’s ability to hit an opponent by aiming well and shooting twice in a row. For Tenta missiles, we’ve made adjustments to reduce the number of instances where players are still taking damage even if they take steps to avoid enemy missiles.

Splatoon 3

“Splatoon 3” is a popular third-person shooter game developed and published by Nintendo exclusively for Nintendo Switch. It was released on September 9, 2022. As the third work in the Splatoon series, it succeeds “Splatoon 2”. The game maintains its signature ink-based combat while introducing online multiplayer (player versus player and player versus environment) and an engaging single-player campaign. The initial trailer was released on February 17, 2021, creating huge anticipation ahead of its release.

Critics praised its rich gameplay mechanics, customization options, additional maps, and single-player campaign. However, some criticism has been directed at the game’s matchmaking and disconnection issues, as well as its lack of fresh content. Splatoon 3 has been a huge success, selling a staggering 10.67 million copies worldwide as of March 31, 2023, establishing it as the best-selling game in the series and one of the best-selling games on Nintendo Switch.

Splatoon 3 gameplay

Splatoon 3 is a game where you play as characters named Inklings or Octolings. You can use different weapons like a paint roller or a sniper rifle to fire colored ink to cover the ground or hit your opponents. In the game, you can transform into a squid or squid-octopus form to move faster and climb ink walls. Weapons are divided into three types: primary weapons, secondary weapons, and special weapons. The primary weapon is what you choose to use, the secondary weapons are additional tools to the primary weapon, and the special weapons require you to use ink to cover the ground. You need to manage your ink levels, and swimming in the ink will help replenish it. The game has a lot of weapons, some are new and some are weapons from earlier Splatoon games.

Splatoon 3 plot

In the game, players follow an old squid named Craig Cuttlefish into a dangerous place filled with furry ooze. They were recruited by Cuttlefish to join the new Squidward Jet Squad as Agent 3. They also have a pet salmon named “Buddy.” Little Buddy helps kill the ooze and clear the roads. Players fight against mutated Octarian enemies alongside Cuttlefish, who believes he has stolen the giant Zap that powers Spratsville.

The adventure takes them to an underground city called Altena, where they meet familiar faces and discover Mr. Grizz’s plot to use plush ooze to transform living beings into mammals. They teamed up with a group called Deep Cut to stop this plan, ultimately saving the world and returning to Earth with the big Zapfish. Mr. Grizzi faces the consequences of his actions.
