Star Wars: Which Jedi Would Be Your Master, Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

These 12 Star Wars Jedi perfectly match each of the Zodiac signs. There have been many Jedi who have appeared in Star Wars movies and TV shows over the years, some obviously much better known than others. Sadly, many of these Jedi stories were cut short or only minimally explored due to Order 66.

That has changed to some degree in more recent years, as brand-new Jedi survivors of Order 66 have been revealed. Shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars have also expanded upon lesser-known Jedi stories considerably. Based on their unique traits and personalities, these 12 Jedi, well-known and lesser-known, would make the ideal Jedi Masters for each of the astrological signs.

Qui-Gon Jinn Would Be The Perfect Calm Guide For An Aries

Aries Are Passionate, But They Can Also Be Aggressive

Close

Although most of Qui-Gon Jinn’s screen time took place in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (he has since had cameos in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Obi-Wan Kenobi), The Phantom Menace alone revealed what a calming force Qui-Gon was. In fact, this is why many felt that, had Qui-Gon stayed alive and trained Anakin as he’d intended, Anakin may never have fallen. That remains up for debate, but it is clear that Qui-Gon would have done well even with Anakin’s rambunctious attitude.

This makes Qui-Gon Jinn the perfect Jedi Master for an Aries. Aries are known to be confident, passionate, and determined, and while those can be brilliant traits, that personality type can also give way to some more challenging traits, such as aggression and competitiveness. These wouldn’t be well suited to the Jedi Way—and also sound quite a bit like Anakin—but Qui-Gon would have no trouble training a Padawan with such traits.

Anakin Skywalker Wouldn’t Let A Taurus Padawan Be More Stubborn Than Him

One Of The Most Well-Known Taurus Traits Is Stubbornness

Close

Anakin Skywalker is easily one of Star Wars’ best characters, and that’s in part because he is so complicated. Throughout the prequel trilogy and The Clone Wars, Anakin proved to be indispensable to the Jedi and the Republic because he was so powerful, confident, and capable. Of course, the flip side of that was that Anakin struggled with traits that the Jedi found less than ideal, including stubbornness.

The Taurus astrological sign is best known for stubbornness, which is symbolized by the bull. However, those with this sign certainly have many traits, including much more positive ones, such as determination and loyalty. Anakin would be a perfect fit for all these traits as a Jedi Master. He would empathize with the struggle to let go and accept others’ perspectives, and he would foster and develop these positive traits in his Padawan as well.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Has Already Proven He Could Handle The Impulsivity Of A Gemini

Geminis Are Impulsive, Creative, And Outgoing

Close

Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of Star Wars’ most powerful Jedi, and he was a brilliant Jedi Master, even if Anakin’s Jedi fate was tragic. Obi-Wan was wise and disciplined, but he was also funny and charming. More than that, his years training Anakin Skywalker make it quite clear that Obi-Wan can handle a range of behaviors and emotions, however unpredictable they may be, given Anakin’s own fluctuating moods and actions.

This would make Obi-Wan Kenobi an ideal for a Gemini Padawan. Like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Geminis are known for their personable nature, often being outgoing, charming, and plenty of fun. The flip side of that personality is a bit of impulsivity and subsequent unpredictability. Obi-Wan would handle the impulsivity without issue, given his experience with Anakin, but a Gemini Padawan would also flourish under Obi-Wan’s training because their personalities would be so similar—more, even, than Anakin and Obi-Wan’s.

Rey Skywalker Would Completely Understand The Emotions Of A Cancer

Cancers Are Loyal And Caring, But They Can Also Be Moody And Emotional

Close

Rey Skywalker proved to be a fascinating addition to Star Wars movies and TV shows. At first, she seemed like a true ‘nobody’ in the larger Star Wars galaxy—which Kylo Ren even directly told her—but she ended up having a connection to the single biggest villain in the Skywalker Saga, however controversial that choice may have been in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This, combined with the early separation from her parents, meant that Rey had a tumultuous young life, full of painful emotions.

This history would make Rey a Jedi Master who is very sympathetic to the emotions of a Cancer. Cancers have a whole host of wonderful traits, including their compassion for others, but they can also be quite moody. Rey would handle the waves of emotions without problem, and she would also relate to both the emotional difficulty and the compassion and kindness associated with Cancers.

Ahsoka Tano Could Foster A Leo’s Confidence (But Also Keep It In Check)

Leos Are Passionate And Brave, Although That Can Cause An Ego Problem

Close

Ahsoka Tano’s time training someone on screen has only been minimally shown, in the Ahsoka show, but it’s already clear that she would make a brilliant Jedi Master. Ahsoka’s own relationship to the concept of being a Jedi has been quite complicated, and debate remains regarding whether she is truly a Jedi. Nevertheless, many of Ahsoka’s traits, such as her strength, her resilience, and her empathy, would make her an excellent Jedi Master.

Specifically, Ahsoka Tano would be a brilliant Jedi Master for a Leo. Leos are known for being brave, bold, loyal, and passionate, but they can also be egotistical and self-centered. These are obviously traits incongruent with the Jedi way, which would mean Ahsoka and her Padawan needing to work through them. This would be an area where Ahsoka would excel as a Jedi Master, as she would have the patience to help her Padawan avoid these behaviors. It would also help that she trained under Anakin, who could have a bit of an ego himself.

Leia Organa Would Encourage A Virgo To Move Beyond Rigid Rules

Virgos Are Known To Be Organized And Responsible, But That Can Also Make Them A Bit Inflexible

Close

The Rise of Skywalker confirmed that Leia had been trained by Luke Skywalker himself in the ways of the Force and that she became Rey’s Jedi Master after Luke died in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Although the movie only briefly showed these aspects of Leia’s character, in part because Star Wars already had to get creative in light of Carrie Fisher’s tragic passing, Leia’s strengths as a Jedi Master were quite clear. Unsurprisingly, based on her character traits throughout Star Wars, Leia was kind, understanding, and adaptable as a Jedi Master.

This would make her perfect for a Virgo Padawan. Virgos have many strengths, including their analytical nature and practicality. Yet, their determination to be logical can lead to a type of rigidity, whereby they don’t want to bend the rules. Leia would be brilliant with a Padawan such as this, as she is someone who understands the importance of rules but also can be flexible when needed. Leia’s strategic nature, which shone throughout the original and sequel trilogies, would be an ideal example for a Virgo Padawan.

Mace Windu Would Ground A Libra’s Idealism

Libra Traits Include Intelligence, Creativity, And Idealism

Close

Mace Windu is a fascinating and complicated Jedi in Star Wars. It’s undeniable that Mace was an incredibly powerful Force-user, and he was masterful with a lightsaber, even inventing lightsaber forms that few could use. However, Mace was also harsh towards Anakin from the very beginning, even when he was a small boy, and he arguably mishandled his final confrontation with Palpatine. While the prequels didn’t necessarily paint Mace in the best light, though, Mace Windu would be an excellent Jedi Master to a Libra even so.

Libras are clever and diplomatic—both of which also describe Mace Windu. In terms of traits that may not work well with being a Jedi, though, Libras can also be idealists. On the surface, this isn’t all that negative a trait. Idealism can certainly be a strength. For the Jedi, though, idealism can be dangerous because it can blind them to reality (something that the Jedi already struggled with, based on Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith). Mace Windu would have no trouble keeping a Libra grounded, however, based on his practical, objective nature.

Yoda Would Handle A Scorpio’s Qualities With Understanding And Grace

As The Symbol Of The Scorpion Suggests, Scorpios Can Be Secretive And Aggressive

Close

Master Yoda is known to be one of the greatest Jedi of all time, and it’s a bit difficult to imagine anyone having him as their actual Jedi Master because of his significance. Yet, Master Yoda did have Jedi Padawans, including Count Dooku himself. Although Dooku’s Jedi path ultimately went bad, it is clear that Yoda is able to guide someone who may be struggling with some darker traits, such as a Scorpio Padawan.

Scorpios can have a negative reputation at times, although that’s largely unfair. Like any sign, there are positives and negatives. Perhaps because Scorpios are symbolized by the scorpion, which is seen as a vicious creature, most attention is typically paid to Scorpios’ more negative side, such as their tendency to be a bit secretive and jealous. With Dooku as Yoda’s former Padawan, this would clearly be manageable for Yoda. However, Yoda would also be brilliant for Scorpios’ many positive traits, including loyalty, determination, passion, and resourcefulness.

Ezra Bridger Is A Brilliant Fit For A Sagittarius’ Intelligence And Curious Nature

Sagittarius Traits Include A Sense Of Humor, Optimism, Wit, And Adventurousness

Close

Ezra Bridger hasn’t gotten the chance to be a Jedi Master yet, especially because he has been lost on Peridea since the Star Wars Rebels finale, but many are hopeful that this could be coming for his character in Ahsoka season 2. Now that Ezra is back in the main Star Wars galaxy, and Kanan Jarrus’ own son, Jacen Syndulla, is Force-sensitive, many are hoping Ezra will take him on as a Padawan. This would be thrilling, as it’s clear Ezra would be an excellent Jedi Master.

In particular, Ezra would be the perfect Jedi Master for a Sagittarius Padawan. Sagittarius are known to be creative, optimistic, and adventurous, all traits that can also describe Ezra Bridger, especially earlier on in Rebels. Ezra would understand and support those traits in his Padawan, and he would also know how to guide them if the Padawan became a bit too big an idealist or was taking too many risks.

Kanan Jarrus Would Help A Capricorn With Perfectionist, Ambitious Tendencies

Capricorns Are Determined And Hardworking, But That Can Make Them Too Ambitious

Close

Kanan Jarrus was an incredible Star Wars character, and his death in Rebels remains one of the most tragic moments in the Star Wars timeline. Kanan was proof that a Jedi could have attachments—even romantic ones—and he became one of the most selfless Jedi and perhaps one of the most at peace as well, especially after he lost his vision. For all these reasons, Kanan is a wonderful Jedi Master, as he already proved throughout Rebels as the Jedi Master of Ezra Bridger.

Kanan Jarrus would especially make a great Jedi Master for a Capricorn. Capricorns have a number of great traits, such as their determination and hard-working nature. This can also lead Capricorns down the path of being overly ambitious and a perfectionist, though. While perfectionism may not sound all that threatening, ambition is a very dangerous trait for a Jedi because it can lead them down the path to the dark side. As Kanan already helped Ezra after he had become obsessed with the power of the Sith Holocron, he would have no trouble with this.

Ambition is a very dangerous trait for a Jedi because it can lead them down the path to the dark side.

The Creative Aquarius Would Thrive With Plo Koon

Aquarians Are Known To Be Creative And Intelligent

Close

Plo Koon hasn’t had a ton of screen time in Star Wars, which is quite a shame because it’s clear he was a great Jedi. Plo Koon first appeared in the prequel trilogy, and he seemed to be a somewhat stoic character. The Clone Wars revealed that there was more to him, though, and he proved to be kind, focused, and have quite a sense of humor. One of the most touching aspects of his character was his connection to and relationship with Ahsoka as the Jedi who first found her and brought her to the Jedi Temple.

This has led many to wonder what might have been had it been Plo, rather than Anakin, who trained Ahsoka. Although that question is unlikely to ever really be answered, it’s evident that Plo Koon would be a brilliant Jedi Master for an Aquarius Padawan. Aquarians are known to be creative, intelligent, and innovative. Plo Koon has just the right temperament to let his Padawan grow and develop in a way that allows them to express their creativity, and his own wit would be a great match for any Aquarius.

Luke Skywalker Is Perfect For The Empathy Of A Pisces

Pisces Are Known To Be Generous, Compassionate, And Intuitive

Close

Luke Skywalker’s time as a Jedi Master has very minimally been shown on screen, much to the chagrin of most Star Wars audiences. Many were hoping to see Luke at the height of his power in the sequel trilogy, but he was instead effectively a hermit, hiding on Ahch-To and refusing to help the galaxy fight the First Order. Oddly enough, most of his time as a full-fledged Jedi has been shown in The Mandalorian season 2 ending and in The Book of Boba Fett.

Nevertheless, enough is known about Luke to make it clear that he would be brilliant for a Pisces Padawan. The Pisces astrological sign is associated with empathy, intuitiveness, and generosity. Especially given the type of Jedi Luke was throughout the original Star Wars trilogy. Star Wars’ Jedi are as unique and varied as the astrological signs themselves, and these 12 Jedi perfectly suit each of the signs.
