Starfield Overdesigned Mission Quest Guide, What is Starfield Overdesigned Mission?

What is Star Sky Ultra Design Mission?

In Starry Sky, Overdesign missions are missions assigned by your constellation member Walter Stroud. The mission offers a reward of 9000 points and 200 XP, but the most exciting part is that you can choose one of two spaceships, Kepler R or Kepler S.

The ship you receive depends on the choices you make when completing the mission. Walter Stroud asks you to help his shipbuilding business, specifically to design a new spaceship. Your decisions during the mission will affect the final design of the ship.

The Kepler S is a smaller boat option, while the Kepler R is more powerful and well-equipped. Your choices, such as budget allocation and feedback to the team, will determine which ship you will receive as a reward. This is a unique mission and your decisions will shape your gaming experience.

Starry Sky Overdesign Mission Exploration Guide

Choose your boat

Before starting the “over-engineering” task, it is important to know which ship you want to build. There are two options, and your choices throughout the mission will affect the outcome. Here are the ships:

Kepler S: This is a smaller ship with a great engine, lots of cargo space, and a powerful gravity drive. However, it doesn’t have weapons, so you’ll need to buy and add them later. You need level 3 driving skills to drive it.

Kepler R: This boat is superior to the Kepler S in every way. It has better gravity drives, shields, double the crew capacity, more fuel, and comes with weapons. It’s heavier and less maneuverable, but it’s a great value. You need level 4 driving skills to drive it.

Start task

  • Complete the “No Sudden Action” mission with Walter Stroud in Neon Lights.

  • Visit Walter again in his cabin in New Atlantis and he will tell you about the problems with his ship-building business.

  • Accept Walter’s request and go to the Stroud-Eklund Star Court to help him.

Arriving at the Starry Sky Garden

  • Fast travel to the planet Dipara in the Nylon system (northeast of the solar system and Alpha Centauri system).

  • Select Deepala and go to Stroud-Eklund Staryard.

Inside the Starry Sky Courtyard

  • Go to Staryard and request permission to board.

  • Pull up and enter the Stroud-Eklund Star Courtyard.

  • Go to the conference room and talk to Jules Degante.

make a choice

  • Choose your boat budget: Kepler S for small budget or Kepler R for large budget. For big budgets, you may need to successfully convince Jules.

  • Talk to everyone around the table, criticize Kepler S’s ideas or provide Kepler R with a positive response.

  • Complete one or two tasks on the mission board (a bounty and a shipment) to collect market data. If your ship isn’t big enough for the cargo mission, you only need to complete one mission to get two ships.

  • Afterwards, either ask everyone to compromise on Kepler S, or lead the group through an awkward Kepler R meditation session.

  • Speak with Jules DeGant again to finalize the ship design.

mission accomplished

  • Return to the inn to find Walter Stroud, complete the quest and receive your new ship. You can find this ship in the fleet menu.

Starfield is an action role-playing video game in which the player can choose between first-person and third-person perspectives at any time. It is set in the Milky Way galaxy and features a vast open world with both fictional and real planetary systems. Exploration involves the ability to land on more than 1,000 planets, numerous moons and space stations.

The game’s landscapes are primarily procedurally generated, but have been fine-tuned with hand-crafted elements. The terrain, alien life, and points of interest on a planet depend on the star they orbit, their atmosphere, and their distance from the player. Notably, Starfield features New Atlantis, Bethesda’s largest fictional city.

Players will encounter various NPCs during exploration, some of whom can join their team to assist in combat and interaction. Player characters are customizable, with background and traits affecting their abilities. Skills are developed through experience, unlocking abilities across five different skill trees. Combat offers a variety of customizable weapons, as well as a jetpack for enhanced mobility.

Resource scanning, outpost construction, and ship customization are key gameplay elements that allow players to acquire, upgrade, and modify their ships. Ship combat involves strategic distribution of power, and players can board other ships for a variety of interactions, including pillage, trade, or requisition.
