The game was announced at Bethesda’s E3 showcase in 2018 and is of great significance as Bethesda’s first original intellectual property in nearly 30 years. The game was released on September 6, 2023 on Windows and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Combat is a big part of Starfield, but it’s definitely not everything there is to it. The game has a rich skill tree, so players can build their characters however they want. There are a variety of skills to explore, and as players level up their character, they’ll be able to unlock a host of useful new abilities throughout the game.

Starry Sky Persuasion Guide

Persuasion is a vital skill in Starfield, but it can be tricky. It’s not just about picking the best answer online; it’s about understanding the character you’re trying to persuade. There’s no set right or wrong answer as it’s a bit random. You can increase your chances of success by learning how to take advantage of opportunities that work in your favor.

How does persuasion work?

When you try to persuade, you will get different responses with numbers and colors. The number tells you how much the persuasion bar will fill if successful, while the color indicates the likelihood of success. Green means very likely, red means unlikely. To succeed, you need to fill up the bar on the left and not run out of rounds, as shown on the right.

Increase your chances of persuasion

To increase your odds, upgrade your Persuasion skill, which can increase your success rate by up to 50% at level 4. You can also use chemicals like Hippolyta or Lust to increase your chances of winning by 20% or 25% respectively. These stack with skill bonuses, potentially giving you a 75% boost.

Advanced Persuasion Strategies

As you gain more skills, you’ll have more options to make persuasion easier. The Negotiation skill allows you to bribe others, while the Intimidation and Manipulation skills provide new dialogue options in certain situations. Keep in mind that some skills, such as Medicine and Fitness, are more situational and won’t come up very often. Keep in mind that while saving and reloading is the only sure way to ensure success in persuasion, knowing your target and improving your skills can greatly increase your chances in Starfield.

How to rotate ship parts in Starfield?

To start rotating ship parts in Starfield, make sure you are in the Ship Builder menu and not the Upgrade Ship menu. You can access the Boat Builder menu by visiting a Boat Service Technician in a major city and selecting the “View and Modify” dialog option. Find the “Shipbuilder” button at the bottom of the screen and press it to enter the customization menu.

Once in the shipbuilder menu, you can add new ship parts by hovering your cursor over the blue circle on the ship or by moving your cursor to the side of the ship. At the bottom of the screen you will see the option to attach or add parts. Select the part you want to equip and it will appear on the screen. To rotate a part and fit it in a specific orientation, find the Rotate option at the bottom of the screen. On a keyboard, you’ll use the Z key, and on a controller, you’ll use the Y button. While holding down the left mouse button or the A button on your controller, press the spin key. This will flip the part to the new orientation.

It is important to note that not all ship parts can rotate freely. Some pieces can be flipped a total of four times for different orientations, while others can only be rotated once. Certain parts, such as weapons, cockpits, engines and certain equipment, cannot rotate at all. However, most decorative components, such as the structure, cargo bay, and landing bay, can be successfully rotated. Remember that during boat building you are limited to the instructions available for each part.

Starfield’s gameplay is a mesmerizing blend of exploration, role-playing, and space adventure. Players have the flexibility to seamlessly switch between first- and third-person perspectives at any time throughout their journey. The game takes place in a vast open world within the galaxy, mixing fictional and real planetary systems. With over 1,000 planets to explore, as well as numerous moons and space stations, players have a vast universe waiting to be explored. What makes Starfield even more interesting are its procedurally generated landscapes, which serve as the basis for each planet.

These terrains have been carefully designed with hand-crafted content woven around them to create immersive and diverse environments. As players approach each planet, the game adjusts the terrain, alien flora and fauna, and points of interest to enhance the sense of discovery.

As players travel through this vast universe, they will encounter a variety of non-playable characters (NPCs), some of whom can become valuable crew members. These NPCs bring unique skills and abilities to the table, helping players fight, carry items, and even negotiate on their behalf when interacting with other NPCs. The choices the player makes throughout the journey cause reactions from these characters, adding depth to the narrative.

Starfield also allows players to customize and manage their spaceships, with the option to buy, build or commandeer them. A modular ship customization system allows players to fine-tune a ship’s core components, amenities, aesthetics, and weapons. Ship combat becomes an engaging challenge as players distribute power among various systems and make strategic decisions that could affect the outcome of a space conflict.

The ability to board spaceships piloted by other NPCs adds an extra layer of gameplay, providing opportunities for plunder, diplomacy, or ship requisition. Starfield’s gameplay promises a rich and immersive experience, seamlessly blending exploration, customization, and narrative-driven encounters across the vast expanses of space.

Platform to play Starfield

Starfield is available on two major platforms: Windows and Xbox Series X/S. PC gamers can delve into the universe on a Windows-based computer and enjoy the game’s immersive universe and gameplay. In addition, users who own Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox Series X or the more compact Series S can experience Starfield on the console and take full advantage of the hardware’s capabilities. This dual-platform availability ensures that a wide range of players can explore the vast Starfield, whether they prefer the precision of PC controls or the comfort of console gaming on Xbox Series X/S.
