Street Fighter 6 Update 1.11 Patch Notes, Wiki, Gameplay, and Trailer

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 is the seventh installment in Capcom’s famous fighting game series, announced in February 2022 and released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on June 2, 2023. Additionally, a Japanese arcade version titled Street Fighter 6 Arcade was released on December 14, 2023. The game was developed on the powerful RE Engine and boasts features such as cross-platform play and rollback netcode.

Street Fighter VI offers three main game modes and three control options, and introduces a live commentary system that enhances the atmosphere of matches and allows spectators to cheer on the players. The game was also released with a prequel comic book series, which was launched in September 2022. Street Fighter VI was well received, and by January 2024, it had sold over 3 million copies.

Street Fighter 6 1.11 Update Patch Notes

In this update, we have made some balance adjustments to some characters. The purpose of the adjustment is as follows: 1. Strengthen characters that cannot fully realize their personal potential. 2. Strengthen skills that are obviously difficult to use. 3. Weaken elements that control the opponent’s actions too strictly.

1. Improve those roles that are not able to fully realize their individual potential.

Most of these adjustments focus on Jamie and Ryu. Jamie is a character whose potential improves as his drinking level increases, but it takes a lot of effort to unlock that potential, and he can be difficult to show off his abilities. In this update, we hope to alleviate this issue by increasing the number of ways he can improve his drinking level. While Ryu seems like a carefully balanced character in a vacuum, there are very few elements to his game plan that stand out, and his personality is a bit thin in the “standard character” category. To address this, we’re making adjustments to make it easier to take advantage of his Hadouken and increasing the number of ways players can incorporate his Hadouken into their game plans.

2. Improve technology that is clearly difficult to use.

We improved techniques that were difficult to combo with or unreliable as anti-air techniques.

3. Weaken factors that over-control the opponent’s actions.

We mainly looked at those very powerful techniques that are defensive measures for characters. We think that some techniques are low risk but high reward when playing neutral and defensively. Therefore, we weakened those techniques that control the opponent’s actions too strictly. Regarding Ken’s throw, although it is an offensive attack, he is in an ideal situation no matter where he is, which creates too much pressure, especially for a character without any invincible attacks. To alleviate this, we put him in a slightly worse situation after the throw when his throw lands in the corner of the screen. We think the adjustments made in this update cover a larger range than previous combat adjustments, but we want to balance the game without making any major changes. This means that some characters have no changes at all, and some characters are just weakened, but we are considering making overall balance adjustments in the future, which will also affect characters not covered in this update. We appreciate your patience and we are working hard to make it happen. For more updates, please check the official website.

Street Fighter 6 Gameplay

Street Fighter VI offers three main ways to play: Arena, World Tour, and Battle Center. Arena lets you battle against friends locally or online, practice your moves, or experience classic arcade mode. World Tour is a single-player adventure where you create your own fighter and explore different 3D worlds, taking on challenges along the way. Battle Center is where you can go online to compete, use your World Tour avatar, participate in events, and even play classic Capcom arcade games.

The game’s combat revolves around the Drive Gauge, a system that encourages creativity. You can use it to perform five different techniques, such as blocking or focusing attacks, each of which adds depth to your strategy. There are three control options to suit your style: Classic for old fans, Modern for simplicity, and Dynamic for casual players.

Street Fighter 6 brings back multiple super combos, allowing each character to unleash powerful moves tied to their level. During combat, you’ll need to manage your level so you can make the right moves at the right time. When things get tense, you can trigger a Critical Art to change the rules of the game.

Live Commentary is a cool new feature that adds a tournament vibe to the matches with live analysis or optional cheering from different commentators. It’s like having your own hype team cheering you on as you battle in the arena.
