The seemingly permanent deaths of the Justice League members ended up having a twist at the end of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Contrary to initial impressions, the Justice League, including Batman, were not permanently killed by the Suicide Squad. The game revealed that the Justice League members were not actually dead, but rather incapacitated or genetically modified to be unable to be killed by the main villain Brainiac.
This unexpected twist fits the game’s premise, as the Suicide Squad is tasked with confronting the Justice League rather than permanently destroying them. Additionally, the ending sets up an end-game focused on “mastery,” where players will need to master their characters, traversal, talents, enemy types, mission mechanics, and build choices. Completing difficult end-game missions will reward players with exclusive Infamy gear, adding an enticing layer of depth and rewards to the game.
