The game was originally scheduled for release in 2022, but after multiple delays, expectations grew. Finally, the game was released on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024, with early access for buyers of the Deluxe Edition on January 29, 2024. They are sent to Metropolis, where they are controlled by the Justice League to fight Brainiac while under attack.
The team searches for weapons and recruits new recruits like Hack, Gizmo, Penguin, Poison Ivy and Toyman. Under Brainiac’s control, the Flash kills Lex Luthor, hindering their intelligence work. Wonder Woman helps the team, but Brainiac’s Flash is subdued. They are taken to another world, encounter another Lex Luthor, and return with a strategy.
They steal Batman’s arsenal and enlist the help of Luthor-2 to defeat Green Lantern and weaken Brainiac’s defenses. Superman stops Waller’s nuclear bomb plans, and Superman clashes with Wonder Woman and is nearly defeated. The purpose of capturing Batman is to create a weapon to counter Superman, but is thwarted by Harley’s actions.
The team uses their weapons against Superman, but Brainiac captures them. Luthor-2 rescues them and discovers multiple Brainiacs. They defeat Brainiac and foil his plot. Now, they plot to hunt down other Brainiacs in the universe, marking the beginning of their next adventure.
