  • Australia: Dominated the tournament by winning six out of eight editions. They won the title in 2010 (Alex Blackwell), 2012 (Judy Fields) and 2014 (Meg Lanning), and from 2018 to 2023 (both in Lanning scored a hat-trick during his tenure as captain.
  • England: Champion of the first World Cup in 2009, beating New Zealand in the final.
  • West Indies: In 2016, they beat Australia in a memorable final to win the title for the first time.

The New Zealand women’s football team defeated South Africa in the final to win the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The victory marked New Zealand’s first title in the tournament’s history, making them the fourth nation to win the Women’s T20 World Cup after England, Australia and West Indies.
