Tekken 8 is an upcoming fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is expected to be released on January 26, 2024. It is the eighth major entry in the Tekken series and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows platforms.

The game was designed using Unreal Engine 5 and produced under the direction of Katsuhiro Harada. “Tekken 8” focuses on the fighting genre and provides single-player and multiplayer game modes to bring an immersive gaming experience to the majority of players.

“Tekken 8” Season Pass
The Tekken 8 Season Pass (also known as the Playable Characters Year 1 Pass) is the extra content you can get for the Tekken 8 game. It includes the following:
- 4 New Playable Characters: Throughout 2024, 4 additional characters will be added to the game. The first is capoeira master Eddy Gordo, and more characters will appear in the spring, summer, autumn and winter.
- Avatar Skin: Kinjin: As part of the Season Pass, you also get an avatar skin called Kinjin.
The first character, Eddy Gordo, will appear in the Tekken 8 opening movie in January. After these four characters, a Year 2 Pass with more characters may be released in 2025, but it has not been confirmed yet.

Tekken 8 DLC
Tekken 8’s DLC, the Eddy DLC, introduces Eddy Gordo as the first additional character, the capoeira expert in the series since Tekken 3. Tekken 8 gameplay
Tekken 8’s gameplay is centered around an aggressive play style, rewarding proactive players over defensive ones. A new feature, the “Hot” system, provides chip damage, additional movesets, and altered move attributes, allowing warriors to dash to cancel and activate unique moves. The timer of the heat state is affected by the player’s behavior. Blocking a violent attack or a character in the heat state will cause chip damage, and health can only be restored through offensive behavior.
The Rage system returns with a revamp, featuring Heat Crush as a separate action. The game introduces a juggling combo expansion system, replacing the planned return of the “Screw” damage attribute. Tekken 8 aims to provide a cinematic combat experience with an emphasis on staged destruction and character reactions. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and features new character models and voices. Online modes include “Arcade Quest,” which offers customization and the use of “Fight Money” currency for various in-game features.
