502 Series
The 502s are an indie folk band from Maitland, Florida that have been captivating audiences with their unique sound since forming in 2015. Formed by Ed Isola, the band’s music has been described as a “folk orchestra” that incorporates elements of indie folk, folk rock, folk pop, Americana, and indie rock.
Known for their energetic live shows and charismatic personalities, 502 has created a musical identity that is often compared to artists such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, The Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show. The band’s longest-standing stable lineup includes Ed Isola, Matthew Tonner (keyboards, guitar), Joe Capati (saxophone), Sean Froehlich (drums and percussion) and Nicholas Melashenko (bass).
Graci Phillips joins the band in 2023, marking a new chapter in their musical journey. From early influences from bands like The Head and the Heart and Bear’s Den, to winning a performance competition at the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, 502 has continued to evolve their sound and leave an indelible mark on the indie folk scene.
