The Devil’s House full movie plot

The Devil’s House tells the story of Samantha Hughes, a college student facing financial difficulties who takes a job as a nanny at a secluded mansion owned by the Ullman family. Upon arrival, however, Samantha learns that her actual responsibility is to care for Mrs. Ullman’s elderly mother. When Samantha’s friend Megan is brutally murdered by a stranger named Victor, a disturbing series of events unfold.

While Samantha stays at home, she becomes increasingly disturbed by strange happenings. While cleaning out broken vases, she discovers a hidden cupboard containing photos of another family, suggesting that the Ullmans are not who they claim to be. The discovery takes a darker turn when Samantha stumbles upon three corpses, revealing that the house’s true residents were victims of the Ullman family’s malevolent actions.

Feeling increasingly uneasy, Samantha contacted the emergency services but canceled the call when the pizza she had ordered, delivered by Victor, arrived. Unbeknownst to Samantha, the pizza was laced with drugs, causing Samantha to lose consciousness. She wakes up during a lunar eclipse and finds herself bound in a pentagram, surrounded by the Ullman family who are performing satanic rituals. Samantha witnesses a monstrous figure known as “Mother” cut off her arm and pour the blood into a goat’s skull.

The mother continued to draw mysterious symbols on Samantha’s body and forced her to drink blood. Summoning her inner strength, Samantha stabs her mother and escapes. Along the way, she discovers Megan’s body in the kitchen and kills Victor and Mrs. Ullmann in revenge. However, Samantha’s mind is still tormented by lingering images of her mother.

Mr. Ullman chases her to a nearby cemetery, revealing Samantha’s destined role in the ritual and trying to convince her that resistance is futile. In a desperate act of resistance, Samantha chose to shoot and end her own life. The film ends with a news report discussing a bizarre lunar eclipse that occurred the night before, leaving scientists baffled by its sudden conclusion. Samantha then wakes up in a hospital bed with a bandage on her head. A nurse touches her belly and says she’ll be fine, which means she became pregnant against her will during the ceremony, giving the story a haunting and disturbing ending.
