Through My Window Across the Sea Ending Explained, Cast, and Plot

Explanation of the ending of Across the Sea Through My Window

In fact, both Raquel and Ares have faced their own challenges this year. Ares often questions whether his decision to go to medical school was a mistake, and Raquel keeps her upcoming novel a secret from Ares.

In one conversation, Ares confides in Raquel about how Vera helped him through difficult times, recounting a drunken night in which he woke up with his shirt on Vera but no memory of what happened . This discovery leaves Raquel and Ares at a crossroads, unsure of their next move.

Eventually, Raquel decided to go to a party, while Ares chose to stay. At the party, Vera confessed to Ares that nothing actually happened between them, but Ares was angry with her for making Raquel believe that wasn’t the case.

Meanwhile, the other two brothers were not faring much better. Artemis proved to be a terrible boyfriend and her lack of respect for Claudia caused her to rightfully end their relationship. Apollo and Daniela experience tension as they deal with their different desires for a relationship.

Yoshi, on the other hand, leads Anna to move on, then makes it clear that he’s not over Raquel yet, ultimately breaking her heart. It’s clear that Yoshi needs to reevaluate his priorities. As Raquel and Gregory leave the party, Yoshi impulsively steals someone’s motorcycle and drives away.

Tragedy strikes when Yoshi gets into an accident and falls off a cliff. Ares witnessed the accident and rushed to Gregory’s side and attempted CPR, but unfortunately, he was unable to revive him. Raquel also breaks down upon seeing Yoshi’s lifeless body. It turns out that neither Ares nor Raquel moved on with Vera or Gregory, and likely realized they wanted to be together. However, before they could express their feelings, everything went wrong.

At the end of Through My Window: Across the Ocean, a distraught Raquel confronts Ares and asks him why he couldn’t save Yoshi. While the question was unfair, Ares also shouldn’t blame Raquel for distracting him and preventing him from taking action throughout the school year.

Raquel and Ares parted ways, and Ares returned to Stockholm to ponder whether medical school was really for him. Yoshi, on the other hand, has submitted Raquel’s manuscript to a publisher and has been approved to adapt it into a novel.

When Vera texted Ares, it was unclear whether he sent an apology message to Raquel. The way Raquel closed the window suggested that either he wasn’t sending or she no longer cared. Ares realized he would never have another chance to reach Raquel through the window.

Across the Sea Through My Window plot introduction

Xu Dongdong, who is pursuing literature, and Ares, who is studying at Stockholm Medical School, mainly rely on telephone conversations, seemingly regardless of the surrounding environment. While Raquel’s behavior may be excusable, how Ares handles this under the pressure of medical school is puzzling.

In Through My Window (2022), Raquel was portrayed as a published author, but Across the Sea reveals that she only had a manuscript ready and still needed to send it to a publisher. Yoshi still has feelings for Raquel and puts them aside for now to serve as her manager. Both Ares and Raquel attracted the attention of admirers of their respective houses, although nothing significant happened.

The plot of “Across the Sea” develops when Ares surprises Raquel when he visits her beach house, only to discover that his brother and their friends are also present. The events that transpire during their time at the beach house form the central plot of the story.

While objectification abounds, tensions escalate when Ares realizes that Gregory doesn’t know about Raquel’s relationship status, and Raquel learns that Ares’ apparent admirer, Vera, has joined them journey. Raquel and Ares admit they are growing apart and need to work on their relationship.

While Gregory remains relatively harmless, Vera displays obnoxious behavior that suggests she thinks Raquel is someone Ares will eventually give up on. Ares did little to ease Raquel’s growing insecurity. Despite this, Raquel chooses to trust Ares, but she feels increasingly isolated from him.

Gregory then revealed that his ex-girlfriend dumped him for Ares, who just two weeks earlier had started dating another girl. Although Raquel has been aware of Ares’ flirtatious nature from the beginning of their relationship, his past aloofness now takes on greater significance.

Raquel’s suspicions deepened when she saw a photo of Vera wearing Ares’ shirt on Ares’ phone. No longer willing to wallow in her insecurities, Raquel initiates a game of truth or dare and confronts Ares directly, questioning whether he and Vera are close. Both Ares and Vera remain silent, leading Raquel to conclude that she has been betrayed.
