In this game, you play as a high school student who returns to his hometown ten years after his parents died in a car accident. The protagonist can summon something called a Persona, which is like a manifestation of his inner soul. He joins a group called Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) with other people who can do the same thing. Together, they must fight the Shadows and solve the mystery of the Dark Hour.

Fans of the Persona series really want a remake of Persona 3, especially after the success of Persona 5. Game developer Atlus officially stated that they listened to the fans’ calls and started working on the remake in 2019. They announced the game in June 2023 after first talking about the game in April 2023.

Reload retains the story of the original Persona 3, but makes it look and function even better. The characters were redesigned by Azusa Shimada, and Shigenori Soejima made sure everything looked good. Atsushi Kitajoh composed new music for the game, and Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice sang some of the songs. The game aims to match the quality of later games in the Persona series.

Book of Atrophy and Psychopathic Prisoner Boss Guide

In the challenging world of Persona 3 Reloaded, the Deviant Convict boss fight on Floor 90 poses a huge threat. Accompanied by the Tome of Atrophy, this battle requires strategic play to overcome its powerful attacks.

Understanding weaknesses and resistance

The Pagan Criminal itself has no specific weaknesses or resistances, so it’s not much of a challenge. The Book of Atrophy, however, is vulnerable to fire but resistant to electricity. Understanding these nuances can greatly impact your approach.

Team composition is important

To take on this powerful duo, it is crucial to assemble a balanced team. Yukari, Junpei, and Aigis are recommended for their diverse skills. The flow of the battle involves Convict launching devastating attacks that require careful planning and execution by your team.

Interpreting the Battle Process

The fight begins as the Heretic Prisoner enters the Charge Phase. During this time, both the Prisoner and the Book of Atrophy focus on buffing and debuffing. Your team’s goal is to maximize damage output while counteracting the Prisoner’s buffs and mitigating its upcoming powerful strike, the Hercules Strike.

Strategic moves to win

Yukali’s Sukunda reduces the criminal’s evasion rate, while Junpei uses Ajira to disable the Book of Atrophy. Aigis plays a vital role in maintaining the team’s defense and using Dekunda to dispel debuffs. Coordination is key to effectively deal damage while preventing the criminal from launching a powerful attack.

Guard against violent attacks

Once the Criminal’s Charge is complete, it is crucial to activate Guard on all party members. While this will not eliminate all damage, it will significantly reduce the impact of the powerful blow. After a devastating attack, use a recovery turn with healing spells to get back into the fight.

The Book of Atrophy

Proactive strategies involve destroying the Book of Atrophy early on. Doing so prevents the offender from increasing its stats and actively weakening your team. If the fight becomes overwhelming, prioritize defeating the Book of Atrophy before resuming your standard attack pattern.

Optimize the magic instrument

Keep an eye on your Avatar Gauges and deploy them strategically to speed up your defeat of criminals. Once the Gauges are fully charged, they effectively drain health points, shortening the overall length of the fight.

Keep applying debuffs to achieve success

Maintain a rotating strategy, frequently weakening the criminals while remaining vigilant and looking for opportunities to attack. With persistence and a well-coordinated strategy, the alien criminals will eventually succumb, ensuring your victory in this challenging encounter.

How to defeat Tome of Atrophy and Deviant Convict in Persona 3 Reload?

To defeat the Book of Atrophy in Persona 3 Reloaded, go to Hell Level 90 in the Yabbashah neighborhood. Make sure your party is at least level 31 and that your Persona is that level as well. The Book of Atrophy is weak to Agi spells, so use fire attacks to exploit its weakness. Before the battle, use Fuuka’s Sylphid Aura.

Focus on defeating the Book of Atrophy first, as it is weak to fire and will lower your team’s defense. Use Lakunda to lower its defense and use the Avatar skill to defeat it quickly. Be prepared for the Pagan Criminal’s big blow and use the Dekunda gem or skill to remove the debuff from your entire team.

To defeat Deviant Convict, also on Floor 90, use Fuuka’s Sylphid Aura before the fight. After defeating Tome of Atrophy, fight Deviant Convict. Use Tarunda to weaken its attacks before it can perform a Herculean Strike, which can deal heavy damage to your team. Since Deviant Convict has no weaknesses, equip your Persona with Crit Rate Boost and Rebellion to counter its Herculean Strike.
