He awakens to find Melina in an ambulance, only to discover that she is a holographic disguise of his deceitful wife, Lori. Quaid is forced to kill the fake Melina before reuniting with the real one. As word spreads of the colonies’ independence, Quaid begins to question the reality of his experiences, leaving the audience to wonder if it was all just a dream, or if it really happened.
