“Train Simulator World 4” will be released in September 2023 and is the fourth work in the “Train Simulator World” series. The upcoming version promises a host of exciting features and improvements that are sure to enhance the gaming experience for rail enthusiasts and gamers alike.

Routes and locomotives:

The game will offer a series of different routes, each with its own unique experience. These include the Antelope Canyon Line, a 75-mile route from Los Angeles to Lancaster, California, USA. On this route, players will operate Metrolink’s EMD F125 diesel locomotive.

In addition, there is the East Coast Main Line, which runs from Peterborough to Doncaster in the UK, with a total length of 80 miles. Here, players will have the opportunity to drive BR Class 801 diesel and electric trains operated by LNER, as well as BR Class 66 operated by EWS.

Finally, the Vorarlberg S-Bahn line is 67 kilometers long and connects Lindau and Bludenz in Germany and Austria. On this route, players will operate ÖBB’s ÖBB 4024 Talent 1 electric multiple unit and DB BR 185 Railion. Notably, this marked Austria’s first route.

The game introduces a range of innovative creative tools, such as Scenario Planner 2.0, which features improvements such as a redesigned, user-friendly interface, custom start times and portal support for AI trains. Livery Designer 2.0 has also been overhauled, including an improved UI, paint description functionality, undo/redo functionality, and more.

Photo Mode allows players to pause the game to capture the perfect screenshot, while offering adjustable camera settings, filters and enhancements. Creators Club improvements provide a streamlined user interface, improved content ownership filtering, and enhanced search functionality.
