One of the big changes in patch 8.01 focuses on Skye, an agent who will dominate Valorant matches in late 2023. Skye is receiving major nerfs, specifically to her “Guiding Light” ability.
Guiding Light now does not recharge during a round, limiting its use. Additionally, the flash produced by this ability will automatically detonate at the end of its life, preventing those tricky fake flashes Skye has used in the past from succeeding.

To balance things out, Riot is bringing back yellow arrow markers when you’re targeted by Skye’s Explorers. These markers indicate the direction in which the explorer is approaching, providing valuable information to the player.
