Valorant, developed by Riot Games for Windows, is a well-known free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter. Originally called “Project A” in October 2019, it entered the closed beta phase on April 7, 2020, and was officially launched on June 2, 2020.

Riot Games began developing “Valorant” in 2014, emphasizing the competitive gaming experience. “Valorant” draws inspiration from “Counter-Strike” and incorporates mechanics such as purchase menus, spray modes, and mobile shooting penalties to promote the development of strategy games.

What makes Valorant unique is its Hero Agents, each with unique abilities that enhance teamwork and strategy. This combination of precise shooting and agent skills has made Valorant a popular esports game, with competitive events hosted by Riot Games and others. Ongoing updates and new content ensure the game’s lasting appeal to fans of tactical shooters.

“Valorant” gameplay

Valorant is a team-based first-person tactical hero shooter set in the near future. Players represent agents from different countries and cultures. Two teams of five players play in attack or defense mode, with agents possessing unique abilities, including ultimate abilities that can be unleashed in a variety of ways. The round starts with a “classic” pistol and a signature ability charge.

The in-game economy is based on turn results, kills, and objectives, facilitating the purchase of weapons and ability fees. The game features a series of firearms, each requiring precise control from the player to ensure shooting accuracy. Currently, there are 22 agents, 5 of which have been initially unlocked, and the others are available through an in-game currency called Kingdom Points, which can be earned through gameplay or missions, and can also be used to purchase cosmetics from agent contracts.
