Originally set to release in 2022, Rocksteady Studios later pushed it back to early 2023, before announcing an official release date of May 26, 2023 during The Game Awards 2022. The game’s release was announced on February 23, 2023 with additional details, including the requirement for a constant internet connection, a battle pass for cosmetic items, and plans for post-launch content.
However, the release faced delays again, moving to February 2, 2024, with the Epic Games Store version delayed to March 5, 2024. Early Access began on January 29, 2024, but required a temporary server shutdown to address bugs that affected players’ story progress.
