Significant improvement in quality of life

The Diablo IV community has been asking about a ton of quality of life features that should have been in the game, and these questions have been answered. Here’s a short list of noteworthy quality of life changes coming to Diablo IV Season 5.

  • You no longer need to leave the dungeon and restart the fight with the same boss. The summoning altar will now reappear after defeating the boss.
  • Varshan only needs the malignant heart and does not need to collect all the body parts.
  • The boss at the end of the game will drop more gold coins.
  • The Ice Beast boss does not require you to make a mark; the boss is now closer to the entrance.
  • Each Tormented boss defeated now grants a Radiant Spark.
  • Unique and Super Unique items (Mythic Unique items) can now drop from the Murmering Obols exchange.
  • Better loot for Treasure Goblins

Hellfire Season Mechanics

Hellfire Army Diablo 4 Season 5

In Season 5, you will use the Infernal Compass to fight against endless waves of Hellish demons in the hate field. There will be hordes of enemies attacking you, and you must defeat all of them within a certain time. If you eliminate all enemies before the time runs out, you can enter the next wave. After defeating a wave of enemies, you will receive a choice among three powerful rewards or “Hell Offers”.

Each Infernal Thing provides you with some boons and banes to adjust the strength of your enemies. If the enemy is too difficult to deal with, you can choose a less powerful Infernal Thing.

When you finish a run, you’ll receive some Burning Ether from all the enemies you defeated, and you can choose from four different loot items to spend your Burning Ether on.

There is a bonus that guarantees you an item with a higher affix!

New unique items, Temperament manual changes

The biggest Tempering Manual change is that Mundane Fine Tempers with Critical Hit Damage are now available to all classes, rather than having to have rogues get this CSD temper on their weapons.

Barbarian New Unique Items

Endless Chains – Amulet

  • Casting Iron Grip reduces the cooldown of Iron Vortex by 5-10 seconds. Enemies damaged by Iron Vortex take 15-30% less damage for 6 seconds.

New Druid Unique Items

Bjorn Farn’s Tusk – Unique Gloves

  • Cataclysm will now always strike any creature in range, and you will take 40-80%[x] Increases damage while the effect lasts. While Cataclysm is active, you gain infinite Spirit.

New unique items for rogues

Shroud of Khanduras – Unique Chestplate

  • Dark Shroud grants you 3 seconds of immunity, but increases your dodge cooldown by 9-3 seconds. Dodging while Dark Shroud is active leaves behind an explosion that deals Shadow damage and draws in enemies.

New Necromancer Unique Items

Way of Trag’Oul – Unique Boots

  • Bone Prison traps enemies in a larger area, and fires 20-35 Bone Shards at enemies trapped within. Each time these Bone Shards hit an enemy, your maximum Essence is increased by 2 for 8 seconds.

New unique items for The Witcher

Axial Conduit – Unique Pants

  • Chain Lightning alternates around you and seeks out up to 3 enemies. When it returns, it drains 6 mana from you, once for each chain lightning generated. After draining a total of 66 mana, the lightning explodes, dealing (270%-570%) Lightning damage.
  • If you don’t have enough mana to consume Chain Lightning, Chain Lightning will fail.
