Disney Dream Valley is a 2023 video game in which players take care of a magical valley inhabited by Disney and Pixar characters who have lost their memories due to a curse. Developed by Gameloft Montréal, it will be released in early access on various platforms in September 2022 and will be fully launched on December 5, 2023. Originally planned as a free-to-play game, it was later converted to a paid model that required a “Founder’s Pack” or Xbox Game Pass Early Access. The game includes the first expansion pack, A Crack in Time, released alongside the full release.

Where to Find Citrine Dream Light Valley
Complete the Royal Tools quest:
- Complete the Royal Tools quest first to get a pickaxe, an essential tool for mining.
Target rock pile:
- Use the pickaxe to target the rock pile with the orange gem protruding from it. These rock piles are potential sources of citrine.
Biome location:
- Citrine can be found in the Trusting Glades (5,000 Dreamlight) or in the Sunny Plateau (7,000 Dreamlight). Unlock these biomes to gain access to Citrine Mine Sites.
Take advantage of Disney character bonuses:
- While exploring the Valley of Disney Dreams, hang out with Disney characters who offer mining rewards to increase your chances of finding Citrine.
Mining reborn:
- If you don’t get Citrine on the first try, wait for the mineral point to regenerate. In areas with two biomes unlocked, the first biome may respawn when the second biome is mined.
Overcome biome barriers:
- For the Trusting Glade, complete Merlin’s Dark Experiments quest at Friendship Level 8 to remove the obstacle. In Sunshine Plateau, reaching friendship level seven with Scar can trigger the Circle of Life mission and use the refined roaring shovel head to clear obstacles.
Teleport using furniture mode:
- If the friendship level is insufficient, use Furniture Mode to place a teleport shaft on the other side of the Sunny Plateau so that teleporters can mine the newly accessible rock piles.

Citrine uses in Disney’s Dream Valley of Lights
Friendship mission requirements:
- Characters in Disney’s Dreamland often request Citrine in friendship quests, such as Mother Gothel’s “Shine the Light” quest, in which she requests three Citrine gems.
Making furniture:
- Use citrine at the crafting station to craft various furniture items, including a round lamppost with orange light or a round lamppost with orange three prongs.
Selling Star Coins:

Disney Dream Valley plot
The game tells the story of the player returning to his childhood rural hometown and entering a dream world called “Dream Light Valley”. Under Merlin’s guidance, they discovered that the villagers in the valley had lost their memories due to night thorns. With the help of dreamlight magic, players work hard to clear thorns, restore the valley, and help villagers from different areas. Along the way, they uncover their pasts as former rulers who left, causing the valley’s decline. The story unfolds as players face dark forces, the Forsaken, and their inner child corrupted by negative emotions.
Through understanding and forgiveness, players and the Forsaken work together to save Dreamlight Valley from destruction.
