Hotel Transylvania 2 plot

In Hotel Transylvania 2, Mavis and Johnny are happily married, and Mavis reveals that she is pregnant. They have a son named Dennis, but as his fifth birthday approaches, he has yet to develop vampiric abilities, much to the concern of his grandfather Dracula. Mavis considers moving to Santa Cruz, California to live a more normal life, but Dracula disagrees. Johnny takes Mavis to visit his parents, leaving Dracula to take care of Dennis.

Dracula recruits his friends to train Dennis into a monster, but fails. They visit Drak’s old camp, but find it safe and child-friendly. Dracula attempts to push Dennis off the tower to activate his powers, but saves him at the last moment. Meanwhile, Mavis is enjoying herself in California until she receives a video of Dennis falling. Mavis confronts Dracula and they agree to move out of the hotel after Dennis’ party.

On the day of the party, Johnny’s father Vlad arrives and chaos ensues when he tries to scare Dennis. Eventually, Dennis came to terms with his vampire powers, and Johnny and Mavis decided to stay in Transylvania and raise him.
