• Two years after his parents divorced, Cam and his mother moved from the Phoenix metropolitan area to Pennsylvania, and soon after, in 2006, Cam started second grade.
• In 2012, Cam and his mother returned to the western United States, settling in Bend, Oregon.
• Cam McCormick began playing football at Summit High School in Bend in 2012. In September of his senior year, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament and underwent knee surgery on September 15 of that year.
• Despite the injury, McCormick played a limited role in the team’s state title run, playing only during the buildup to the victory.
• In the spring of 2016, McCormick left high school early and enrolled at the University of Oregon.
• McCormick committed to the University of Oregon in February 2015 as a three-star recruit and was recognized as the second-best football prospect in the state of Oregon following the 2015 high school football season.
