Michael Charles Brantley Jr. (born May 15, 1987) is a retired American professional baseball outfielder known for his role in the Major League Baseball (MLB) team (Specially Known for his tenure with the Cleveland Indians and Houston Astros. Coming from a baseball family, the son of former MLB player and hitting coach Mickey Brantley, he showed his talents early, playing in Fort Pierce, Florida. of Fort Pierce Central High School and became a standout player. The Milwaukee Brewers selected Brantley in the seventh round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft. His journey to the major leagues continued during the 2008 season when the Brewers traded him to the Cleveland Indians in a deal involving pitcher CC Sabathia. Brantley made his MLB debut in 2009 with the Indians.

- Michael Brantley was born in Bellevue, Washington, where his father, Mickey Brantley, played for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). However, he grew up in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and began playing baseball in the Southwest Port St. Lucie Little League at the age of seven. Michael was exposed more to professional baseball in 1999 when his father became the hitting coach for the New York Mets baseball team, which allowed him to spend time with the team.
- For his education, Brantley attended Fort Pierce Central High School in Fort Pierce, Florida, where he was active on the baseball and golf teams. During his senior year, he displayed impressive skills on the baseball field, boasting an impressive .595 batting average, 22 runs scored, 12 runs batted in, and an impressive 32 stolen bases. Despite being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers out of high school, Brantley decided to waive his National Letter of Intent to play college baseball for the Coastal Carolina Gamecocks.
