Raúl Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz was born on January 10, 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and grew up in Canovanas and Carolina.
His father, guitarist Raúl Ocasio, and mother, backup singer María Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to musical influences such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown.
Alejandro grew up in the continental United States, primarily in Miami and New York City, where he drew inspiration from the R&B and dancehall music genres.
He is a childhood friend of Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. They attended the same school and took classes together.
Because of his love for dancing, Alejandro participated in talent shows at school as a child.
After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Puerto Rico and played football until the age of 20, when he turned his focus to a music career.

Music Origin:

After quitting football, he fell into a mild depression and turned to music, and in 2014 he began releasing songs via SoundCloud.
