Days of Our Lives (commonly referred to as Days or DOOL) is a famous American television show that aired on NBC from 1965 to 2022. It is one of the oldest television series in the world, having aired almost every weekday since November 8, 1965.

Cast members Suzanne Rogers has been on the show since 1973, and Susan Seaforth Hayes has been on the show since 1968, the only cast member to have appeared in the show for its entire 70-year run. In 1975, the show was extended from 30 minutes to one hour per day. The show became an international hit and was broadcast in many countries. Ken Corday has been in charge of the show since his mother Betty stepped down in 1986. As of March 2023, the show will run until at least September 2025. Who will leave Days of Our Lives in 2024?
In 2024, several actors will leave the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives. Steve Burton, who plays Harris Michaels, will leave after a surprise return. His one-year contract will end in about five or six months, which adds to the anticipation of the plot. Lucas Adams, who is famous for playing Tripp, and Victoria Grace, who plays Wendy, will also say goodbye to Salem.

Days of Our Lives spin-off
Days of Our Lives has expanded its universe through spinoffs, providing fans with more content. One of these spinoffs is Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, a five-episode limited series that premiered on Peacock in September 2021. The series, which stars the original cast including Lisa Rinna and Dietrich Hall, announced a second chapter in April 2022.
Another spinoff, Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas, was released as a holiday movie on Peacock in December 2021. Starring Chandler Massey and Davidson, the series adds a festive touch to the Days of Our Lives universe, with Alison Sweeney also joining the cast.
Additionally, the hit sitcom Friends spoofed Days of Our Lives, connecting the two shows in a humorous way, with Joey Tribbiani playing the fictional character Dr. Derek Lamoreux from Days of Our Lives in multiple storylines and real-life Days of Our Lives actors also making cameo appearances.
