Manish Narwal is an Indian professional para-pistol shooter. He is ranked fourth in the world in the men’s 10m air pistol SH1 event according to the World Shooting Para-Sport Rankings. The professional shooter won first place in the P4 mixed 50m pistol SH1 event at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Who is Manish Narwal?
Born on 17 October 2001 in Barabgarh, Haryana, Manish Narwal is a promising Indian disabled shooter competing in the P4 (Mixed 50m Pistol SH1) category. He was born with a deformed right hand which troubled him throughout his childhood, but he did not give up his love for shooting.
Although he wanted to play football from the beginning, health problems prevented him from pursuing football as a career. Therefore, he chose shooting sports as his main direction.
His shooting career began in Barabgarh in 2016. At the 2021 Para Shooting World Cup held in Faridabad, Haryana, he won the gold medal in the P4 Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 category and set a world record (2.182m).
Under the expert guidance of Rakesh Thakur, Narwal won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships in Sydney, Australia.
In addition, he also won three consecutive bronze medals at the 2018 World Shooting Para-Sport Championships held in Cheongju, South Korea, including two individual medals and one team medal.
At the recent Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Manish Narwal made history by winning gold in the P4 Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 class, showcasing his incredible talent and determination on the world stage.
He has won many gold, silver and bronze medals in domestic and international competitions. He has achieved success at a young age and has won many medals in international competitions.

Manish Narwal qualified for the 2024 Paralympic Games in the men’s 10m air pistol SH1 category with 565 points.
In today’s competition, he finished second with a total score of 234.9 points, showing his consistent performance and determination to excel in the sport. The first place went to South Korean player Cho Jeong-doo, who narrowly beat Manish Nawal with a score of 237.4 points to win the gold medal.
Chinese athlete Yang Chao won the third place with a score of 214.3 points, showing the fierce competition among the outstanding athletes in this event.
Such a close result demonstrates the high level of technique and competitiveness in the men’s 10m air pistol SH1 event at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
