Alley Mills, also known as Alley Bean, is an American actress born on May 9, 1951, known for her roles in popular television shows. She is known for playing the mother Norma Arnold in the TV series The Wonder Years and Stephanie Forrester’s sister Pamela Douglas in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Most recently, she played Heather Webber on General Hospital.
Mills was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Ted Mills, worked in television, and her mother, Joan Mills Kerr, was a writer and editor for American Heritage magazine. Her stepmother is actress Genevieve, and her stepfather is Yale University Press director Chester Kerr.
She has an older sister, Hilary Mills Loomis, and a younger brother, Tony Mills. Ellie attended Yale University, graduating with honors in drama and art history in 1973. She later earned a master’s degree from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
