As of now, there will not be a third season of Marco Polo. The series, inspired by Marco Polo’s early life in the court of Kublai Khan, premiered on Netflix on December 12, 2014, and concluded its second season on July 1, 2016.

Marco Polo
Marco Polo is an American historical drama series that airs on Netflix. Created by John Fusco, the series tells the story of Marco Polo’s early life in the court of Kublai Khan, leader of the Mongol Empire and founder of the Yuan Dynasty. Lorenzo Richelmi plays the title character, while Benedict Wong plays Kublai Khan. The series premiered on December 12, 2014, and has a total of 20 episodes and one special.
The second season, which consisted of 10 episodes, was released on July 1, 2016. Despite a production budget of $200 million, the series suffered financial setbacks. On December 12, 2016, Netflix announced that it had canceled production of Marco Polo due to a reported loss of $200 million over two seasons. The decision was made jointly by Netflix and the Weinstein Company.
