Dodger is a television series produced in Australia for Disney+. It continues the story from “Oliver Twist” by Charles Dickens. Thomas Brodie-Sangster plays the title character “Cunning Dodger” and David Thewlis plays Fagin.

The eight-part series was created by James McNamara, David Maher and David Taylor. Jeffrey Walker serves as principal director and producer, with Corrie Chen and Gracie Otto also directing episodes.

Cunning Dodge Conspiracy

In 1850s Australia, Jack Dawkins was a surgeon in the Royal Navy and earned respect in his new life. However, Fagin, a man from the past, reappears and Jack, who once worked as a pickpocket in London and was known as “Sly Dodger”, returns to a life of crime.

Jack begins caring for the governor’s daughter, who dreams of becoming a surgeon. When Jack’s past meets his present and outside problems threaten his plans, the story unfolds, asking whether he can truly change his life in this new place as he hopes.
