WPL 2025 Schedule : Women’s Premier League Match Time, Teams and All Squads

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is India’s premier T20 Cricket Championship organized by the Indian Cricket Control Council (BCCI).

The 2025 season marks its third edition, scheduled for February 14 to March 15. In its first match on February 14, defending champion Royal Challenger Bangalore will face the Giants of Gujarat.

There are five teams this season: Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challenger Bangalore, Delhi Capital and UP Warriorz. The competition will be held in four cities: Vadodara, Bangalore, Lucknow and Mumbai.

The game was after the double round spin format, with each team playing the other team twice – the top three entering the playoffs, finally reaching the final in the March 15 final.

A total of 5 teams will participate in the 2025 Women’s Premier League. The WPL auction held on December 15, 2024 saw a fierce bidding war between the two teams as they compete to secure top players for their roster.

WPL 2025 Format: How the game works and playoff rules

The Women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL) will be the third season of the Women’s Twenty-Two-Year-Old Cricket League organized by the Council of Cricket Control in India (BCCI). The competition is scheduled to be held from February 14 to March 15, 202512.

Format Overview

  • Teams: The match will have five teams: Delhi Capital, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challenger Bangalore and UP Warriorz.
  • League Stage: Each team will participate in other teams twice in a double round spin format, with a total of 20 league games. This means each team will play home and away games with all the other teams.
  • Venue: The competition will be held in four venues: Bangalore (M. Chinnaswamy Stadium), Lucknow (Ekana Cricket Stadium), Mumbai (Brabourne Stadium) and Vadodara (Kotambi Stadium).

Playoffs

  • After the league game, the top three teams will qualify for the playoffs based on their scoring qualifications.
  • The team at the top of the standings will advance directly to the finals.
  • The second and third-place teams will compete in a knockout match to determine who will face the top team in the finals. The winner of the Elimination will continue to enter the finals.
  • The last game is scheduled to be held on March 15, 2025.
