India cemented its lead at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table with a 2-0 win over Bangladesh in Kanpur on Tuesday.

After a 280-run win in the first Test, India completed the series sweep with an all-round performance in the second match. Led by Rohit Sharma, India won by 7 wickets in the rain-affected final Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Chasing a modest target of 95 runs, India prevailed in 16.4 overs on the final day to seal the series 2-0.

Defending champions Australia are second on the World Test Championship points table with a run rate (PCT) of 62.50%, followed by Sri Lanka in third place with a run rate of 55.56%. The remaining six are England (42.19%), South Africa (38.89%) and New Zealand (37.50%). Here is the points table:

Rohit Sharma-led India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the second and final match of the two-Test series. In the rain-affected match at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, India chased down the target of 95 in just 16.4 overs on the final day to seal victory and complete a 2-0 series sweep.
