A tense battle between Joe and Mackey is set to unfold in the future, hinting that there may be more revelations in future seasons.

After the Flood shooting location
Filmed in various locations, After the Flood captures the essence of the Yorkshire setting of the story. Scenes for the series were shot in Stockton-on-Tees, specifically at the Tees Barrage White Water Centre, where the opening sequence depicting a river breaking its banks was filmed. The centre is renowned for training emergency services and provided a controlled environment to simulate the challenging water-related scenarios of the storyline.
In addition to Stockton-on-Tees, the cast and crew also spent time in and around Manchester, making use of famous landmarks such as Stockport’s historic Market Hall, which appeared in Episode 4. Some scenes were also filmed near Manchester’s Trafford Centre, with sets similar to the northern town being built for certain scenes.
Glossop in Derbyshire was another filming location for the series, adding to the rich visuals of the series. This picturesque town is set in a valley, with hills, beautiful squares and a river running through it, adding a sense of authenticity to the story.
