Known issues and solutions

Our team works extra hard to keep players informed of ongoing issues and bugs. To this end, we recently redesigned the Known Issues and Solutions page to better communicate issues that have a high impact on players and need to be addressed first.

The Known Issues and Solutions page will be updated with the relative cadence of each update and patch for Age of Empires IV. The issue status on the page will alert you if we’re looking for more examples of a specific bug or issue.

Finally, we’ve also provided complete steps on how to report a bug, issue, or crash, and are working on further streamlining and improving the process of reporting crashes to customer support in the future.

Queue to avoid

Our last patch included a series of changes aimed at curbing queue avoidance in ranked matches. We’ve since discovered other ways for some players to continue dodging without receiving severe enough penalties. Work to close these loopholes is ongoing and will be implemented in the future.
