Where can I find all the missing books in Assassin’s Creed Phantoms?

In Assassin’s Creed Phantoms, finding the lost books is a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you find these seven elusive treasures.

Lost Book 1: Harbiyah – Kalila wa-Dimna

Location: The first lost book, Kalila wa-Dimna, is located at the Kalila and Dimna historical site, on the eastern edge of the Grand Mosque area, near the Tomb of Zubaydah. This book is accessible early in the game and is not heavily guarded.

  • Discover the Golden Beam: As you approach the location, use your trusty companion Enkidu to pinpoint the book’s exact location.
  • Go Inside: Enter the courtyard near where the book is. Use Eagle Vision to identify iron doors containing explosive canisters in buildings. Find an open window above the door and crawl through it to find the stairs leading to the first floor. Use the throwing knife to clear the obstacles and collect Kalila wa-Dimna.

Lost Book 2: Harbiyah – Al-Tabari: Tafsir of Al-Tabari

Location: The second Lost Book can be found in the secret chamber beneath the Nestorian Monastery. This book requires some puzzle solving skills.

  • Entering the room: Go down the cloister’s stairs until you reach a large room. At the far end of the room, find a moving shelf.
  • Solve the puzzle: Pull the first shelf as far back as possible, then continue down to find the second shelf. Bring this back too. Find the shelf closest to the entrance and pull it aside to reveal a small hole in the wall.
  • Collect the Book: Go through the hole into the secret room, behind the curtain you will find the Lost Book on a pedestal.

The Lost Book 3: Abbasiyah – Al-Kwarizmi: Al-Jabr

Location: The third Lost Book is located west of Abbathia Observatory, across the river from the House of Wisdom.

  • Find the Book: As you approach the marked location, look for a breakable door on the ground floor. You can use a sword or throwing knife to break it.
  • Enter the upper floor: Inside, find the shelf blocking the stairs to the upper level and pull it aside to get the book.

The Lost Book 4: The Wilderness – Suleiman Tajir: An Account of China and India

Location: The fourth Lost Book can be found in the wilderness east of the Pomegranate Gate in southern Kach.

  • Enter the building: The book is located inside the Tuesday Market, guarded by enemies. You can fight them or sneak in quietly.
  • Location of the book: The book is on the second floor of the building in the center of the courtyard. You can either pickpocket the key or gain entry through an open window on the second floor.

Lost Book 5: Kah – Banu Musa: Book of Clever Devices

Location: The fifth Lost Book is located in the Kah District, near the Harbor Camp POI.

  • Approaching the Book: Use Enkidu to discover the book from above, but beware of the Sharpshooter in the area.
  • Get the book: To get the book, use the throwing knife to break the bars on the window and enter the building.

Lost Book 6: The Round City – Green Dome Palace

Location: This lost book is accessible after reaching a certain point in the story, specifically after the “Serpent’s Den” mission.

  • Get the book: Go to the east side of the Green Dome Palace, underneath the southeastern dome. Find a bunch of boxes and use them to reach the swing, which will launch you out of the open window. This window opens after reaching the appropriate point in the storyline.

Lost Book 7: Sulaysia on the Tigris – Kitab al-Azif

Location: The final Lost Book can be obtained at any time, making it a special find.

  • Discover the book: Head to the southeastern swamps on Mount Basim, where you’ll encounter the ruins of Sulesia on the Tigris River.
  • Get the book: In the center of the ruins, you’ll find a breakable patch on the ground. Climb the nearby ladder containing the explosive canisters and use them to destroy the land to reveal Kitab Azif.

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms is a video game produced by Ubisoft. It is part of the Assassin’s Creed series and launches on October 5, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It will also launch on iPhone 15 Pro models in early 2024.

The game is set in Baghdad in the 9th century, a period of chaos. It follows a character named Basim ibn Ishaq, who starts out as a thief but later joins a group called the Brotherhood of Assassins. They fought for peace and freedom, while their enemies, the Templars, wanted peace through control. This game is different from some recent games in the series. It focuses more on a simple story and cunning gameplay than recent games with more role-playing elements.

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms gameplay

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms delivers an action-packed stealth gaming experience. It’s designed to remind players of older Assassin’s Creed games, focusing more on a linear and story-driven approach and less on complex role-playing elements. Key elements of the game include parkour, close combat, and cunning tactics.

When it comes to assassination missions, the game adopts a “black box” design, where players need to explore the environment and find creative ways to eliminate the target. The game is mainly set in Baghdad and is divided into different areas, including the famous Round City and the House of Wisdom. Unlike recent games in the series, Baghdad is smaller and more like the cities in earlier games.

Players control the protagonist Basin, who possesses a variety of weapons and tools such as hidden swords, smoke bombs, and poison darts. These can be upgraded through the skill tree. Basim also has a companion eagle named Enkidu who serves as a scout, but be careful, enemy archers can spot and attack Enkidu.

A new ability called Assassin Focus lets players take out multiple enemies at once, and it recharges when you perform stealth assassinations. Additionally, Baghdad has pillars to help you cross wide gaps, and the game’s movements and animations have been improved for a smoother experience, drawing inspiration from various samurai styles such as samurai and ninja.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage plot

The story of “Assassin’s Creed Phantoms” is set many years before the events of “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” and tells the story of Basim ibn Ishaq, a young street thief in the city of Anbar. Basim is haunted by visions of the vicious Ginny, and his friend Neil helps him cope.

Basim wants to join the Hidden Ones, a secret organization fighting for justice. He tries to steal an important artifact from the Caliph’s palace, but gets into a dangerous situation. Nihal eventually rescues him, but they are forced to flee as the palace guards begin hunting the thief.

Basim blames Nehal and abandons her. With the help of a Hidden named Roshan, he escaped to their mountain fortress of Alamut, where he trained and eventually became a Hidden. Sent to Baghdad to investigate the group’s growing influence, Basim discovers that the secretive organization is trying to uncover ancient artifacts. He embarks on a mission to stop them, meeting Nihal again and revealing his true identity as Loki. The plot unfolds as Basim seeks answers and reunites with those connected to his past.
