Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Will Launch Day One on Steam

Officially unveiled at the 2024 Limited Games Show, Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition was confirmed to be released on multiple platforms, including PC. Fans of the original game had reason to be concerned, as Ubisoft’s recent release pattern has been for Epic Games Store exclusives on PC. Fortunately, this is not the case with Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition, which was released on Steam on day one.

The confirmation of the Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition on Steam comes directly from the Beyond Good and Evil official Twitter /X account.

They also confirmed that the digital version will be available for €20/$20 on all platforms. Additionally, if fans are interested in the original PC version that was recently removed from Steam, it can still be purchased through GOG or the Ubisoft Store. It is also part of the Ubisoft+ catalog, which is their monthly subscription.

Finally, the remake is being handled by Ubisoft and Virtuous Games, who will also be assisting with the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta.

Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Release Date

The game will be released on June 25, 2024 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

The Twitter/X post also confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development, which is probably the only major confirmation we’ve heard about the game recently. In addition, the Beyond Good and Evil remake will also include a new mission to bridge the gap between the two works.

We’re glad to see Ubisoft releasing the game on Steam, especially after the original game was removed from the platform. While this may not be the case for other upcoming Ubisoft games, it’s encouraging to see their recent titles, like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, making it to the platform in a shorter time than before.
