Bikini Kill’s tour will kick off in Mexico City on March 3, then travel to South America and Europe before returning to the U.S. They’ll kick off their North American leg with a show in Los Angeles on August 15, then visit cities like San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Toronto before wrapping up in Baltimore on September 11.
Fans can get tickets in advance through a presale to select groups including artists and Citi card members starting on February 6th, while general ticket sales will begin on February 9th.
This tour is especially exciting as it marks Bikini Kill’s return to the stage after a hiatus. Their performances are sure to be memorable, filled with their signature punk sound and passionate performances. Bikini Kill
Bikini Kill is a punk rock band that formed in October 1990 in Olympia, Washington. The original members were Kathleen Hanna, Billy Karren, Kathi Wilcox, and Tobi Vail. They were instrumental in creating the riot grrrl movement, which used feminist ideas in their music.
Their songs are known for being intense and having strong messages. After two albums, some EPs and compilations, they disbanded in 1997. But in 2019 and 2022, they reunited for a tour, with Erica Dawn Lyle joining in place of Billy Karren.
The band’s music blended punk rock and other styles, and their lyrics often addressed issues that concerned women. They are credited as a seminal band in the history of punk music, paving the way for other female-led bands.
