Brooks and Dunn
Brooks & Dunn is a famous American country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. They began working together in 1990, when they followed the advice of songwriter and record producer Tim DuBois. Prior to working together, Brooks and Dunn both began their solo careers in the 1980s, each with two singles that charted. Brooks even released an album in 1989 and wrote hits for other artists.

After joining forces, the two signed with Arista Nashville and achieved great success. They recorded several albums and singles and even won several awards, including the Country Music Association’s Duo of the Year Award from 1992 to 2006. Their music is known for its fusion of honky-tonk music, mainstream country, and rock. Although some have criticized them for being too formulaic, their influence on country music is clear. Brooks and Dunn performed their final concert in 2010 after announcing their retirement in 2009.
