Election Results 2024: List of Top Winners and Losers from Lok Sabha Election

The Lok Sabha elections have reached their climax and all eyes are on the results. The fate of around 8,000 candidates for 542 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 general elections will be decided today. This election in India lasted for 6 weeks and around 640 million votes were cast by Indian citizens. Oh and this election results brought some huge surprises that shocked the whole country.

The BJP fell short of a majority in the 543-seat lower house of the Indian parliament, the Lok Sabha, by 272 seats. However, the party still secured a majority along with its allies.

Interestingly, the Indian opposition alliance managed to win 222 seats. The alliance was led by the Indian National Congress.

Situation in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state with a population of over 240 million, and the election results in the state are crucial to India. The BJP has been struggling to win elections in Kerala. Interestingly, the party got lucky this time as Suresh Gopi won in Thrissur constituency by just 74,686 votes. This made him the first Lok Sabha MP from the BJP in Kerala.

The Congress won a total of 14 seats in the state.

Maharashtra election results – BJP suffers big disappointment
