The record for the fastest 50 seconds in a Test cricket match is held by former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq. In 2014, he scored 21 goals against Australia in Abu Dhabi.

The second fastest fifty is Australia’s David Warner, who hit the second fastest fifty in a Test match against Pakistan in Sydney in 2017.

Rishabh Pant smashed his own record by scoring a half-century in the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney in 2025, scoring 29 balls to become the only Australian player A visiting batsman who scored the fastest 50 runs.

He had previously scored 28 goals against Sri Lanka in 2022, setting a record half-century.
