2019–2021 Championship

The first WTC Championship began in the 2019 Ashes series. In March 2020, the game was suspended due to the 19th. The game resumed in July 2020, but some games were postponed or cancelled.

New Zealand was the first team to reach the final after Australia’s series against South Africa was cancelled. India is also eligible.

The final will be unveiled in the Rose Bowl in Southampton from 18 to 23 June 2021. The rain ruined the two-day match, but New Zealand won the match on Preparatory Day to become the first WTC champion.

2021–2023 Championship

The second WTC cycle begins in August 2021, with the Patadi Trophy between India and England. ICC introduces a new point system. Australia won its position in the final after winning its third exam in the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

India qualifies after Sri Lanka failed to beat New Zealand. The final will be in the Oval in London from 7-11 June 2023. Australia beat India with 209 runs to win their first WTC title.

2023–2025 Championship

The third WTC cycle began on June 16, 2023, with the first ashes test. The International Criminal Court announced that the final will be held in Lorde in the summer of 2025.
