Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is an action-packed game in which players explore the fantasy world of Teyvat. It was released in 2020 for Android, iOS, PlayStation and Windows, and later on PlayStation 5, offering an anime-style open world and an exciting battle system using elemental magic and character switching. As players travel across Teyvat, they will assume the role of the Traveler, an adventurer searching for a missing sibling accompanied by their guide Paimon. Along the way, they meet a variety of characters, become involved in state affairs, and uncover the mysteries of this land.
The game draws inspiration from a variety of sources including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, anime, and isekai mythology. Critics praised its combat mechanics and vast, immersive open world. Despite this, Genshin Impact has been a huge success, earning nearly $3.8 billion by the end of 2022, making it one of the most financially successful games in its first year after release.
