Green Hell gameplay

The game unfolds from a first-person perspective and has both Single-player and Co-op Multiplayer modes, featuring an open world simulation, where the main objective of the player is to survive by gathering resources and food.

The protagonist, Jack, must go beyond mere accumulation and use the collected materials to risk building shelter and weapons. The game begins in a lonely jungle camp with little background information. Throughout the game, environmental changes occur constantly, including dynamic changes and hallucinations that affect the character’s physical and mental state.

A smartwatch can alert players to nutritional deficiencies, guiding them to maintain a balanced diet, which affects the character’s health. Getting enough sleep, avoiding poisonous creatures, and preventing injuries contribute to overall health. Crafting medicine and bandages can help restore health, and maggots can be used to treat infected wounds before bandaging. A compass and GPS can help with navigation.

In the optional story mode, players will embark on a narrative centered around the search for a missing spouse. The prequel, Amazon Spirit Part 1, debuted on January 28, 2021, followed by Amazon Spirit Part 2 on June 22, 2021, both of which offer single-player and co-op play.

Green Hell Story

The central storyline revolves around Jack Higgins, an anthropologist who wakes up deep in the Amazon jungle, on the banks of the vast Amazon River. His main focus turns to survival and the urgent mission to find his missing wife, Mia.

Mia embarks on a solo journey to a nearby tribal village, intending to make initial contact with the Yabawaka natives. As a linguist, her absence causes great concern for her safety, which only strengthens Jack’s determination to find her.

Narrated in the first person by Jack, the story gradually unfolds as he becomes acutely aware of the imminent danger Mia is facing. The only connection between them is a radio, which adds suspense and urgency to Jack’s expedition through the dense jungle. In addition to dealing with natural threats, Jack also encounters the Walahas, a splinter faction of the Yabawaka known for the markings painted on their skulls.

This faction is made up of primitive tribesmen who resort to violent tactics against the researchers, adding a layer of complexity and challenge to Jack’s already perilous journey. The unfolding storyline blends elements of survival, mystery, and intricate human conflict to create an engaging and suspenseful storyline.
