In Diver Dave, players take on the role of Dave, an underwater explorer turned sushi restaurant manager. Dave’s job is to fish for his restaurant from a place called the Blue Hole, whose layout and creatures change every day. As players control Dave, they can gather resources to upgrade his equipment and even craft new items, such as diving gear and weapons, which will come in handy when fighting giant underwater monsters.
But there’s a twist: If Dave carries too much air, his air supply will be depleted faster, making him an easy target for predators like sharks. If Dave loses a battle, he will throw away all the items he was carrying (except one item) when he is rescued. In addition to fishing, Dave also receives requests from others to complete various tasks such as exploring, researching, or finding rare items. Players can recover items lost at sea and use Dave’s contacts to sell them.
Dave can dive twice per day, with the option to dive at night as the game progresses.
