How to Get Water in Pax Dei

In Pax Dei, you can craft some resources, but these resources don’t have any use until a certain point. Water seems to be a crucial resource, and you can get it very early in the game. However, its uses aren’t available yet. In this short guide, you’ll learn where to get water in Pax Dei and what you can use it for.

To get water, you need to craft a well. Using a basic carpenter’s workbench, you need to craft a wooden capstan to unlock the well craft. Next, you need 42 gneiss, 3 wooden beams, and 12 planks. Once you have these materials, you can craft and place a well on your lot.

I recommend placing the well outside of your house or near your planned kitchen area. Once you have placed the well, interact with it and select the water recipe. Simply click the crafting button and it will start crafting since it does not require any resources to craft water.

You can continue to craft as much water as you want, but you can only queue up at least 4 water crafting items at a time. Each inventory slot can only stack up to 10 water, so there is no point in storing a lot of water in your warehouse. It only takes 30 seconds to craft one water well, so there is no point in building multiple water wells.

You can place a decorative chest near it so that you have a steady reserve of water in case you want to bulk craft a resource that uses water.

What is water used for?

Water is primarily used to craft cooking ingredients or consumables. Most recipes come from a basic cooking workbench, and here is a list of items you can craft with water:

  • Small Apple Cider
  • Dandelion Herbal Infusion
  • Rye dough
  • Barley water
  • Sharkin
  • Barley dough
  • Blueberry Syrup
  • Lola de Papes

Each of the above recipes only requires 5 Water per crafting. These foods and ingredients make for the most powerful consumable buffs in Pax Dei, so crafting some of these is essential if you’re trying to complete some difficult content, or if you just plan on increasing your stamina to farm resources more efficiently.

You will also need water to make some other recipes with wine barrels and other wine making and brewing processes.
