Brett Lee, a fast bowler from Australia, is the first bowler to score a hat-trick in a T20 World Cup. He did this in the inaugural T20 World Cup, the 2007 T20 World Cup.

In the match against Bangladesh, Brett Lee scored a hat trick by dismissing Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafee Mortaza and Alok Kapali three times in a row.

Curtis Kampfer set a record for a T20 World Cup hat-trick against the Netherlands, removing Colin Ackerman, Ryan ten Doschaert, Scott Edwards and Roelof van der Merwe in quick succession.

He is the only bowler to have taken 4 consecutive wickets in the T20 World Cup till date.

Sri Lanka’s renowned wrist spinner Wanindu Hasaranga scored a hat-trick in the 2021 T20 World Cup, eliminating South Africa’s Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma and Dwayne Pretorius.

In 2021, South Africa’s fiery bowler Kagiso Rabada scored a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup against England, beating Chris Woakes, Eoin Morgan and Chris Jordan in quick succession.

Karthik Meiyappan is the first player from the Union Nations to score a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup, having achieved this unique feat against Sri Lanka in 2022 when he bowled Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka in three consecutive legal overs.

Joshua Little became the second Irish cricketer to score a hat-trick after Curtis Campher did so in 2021.

He took a hat-trick against New Zealand in the 2022 T20 World Cup, removing batsmen such as Kane Williamson, James Neesham and Mitchell Santner.

Pat Cummings became the only cricketer in the history of T20 World Cup to score two hat tricks.

He became the second Australian bowler to take a hat-trick against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2024. The batsmen he beat were Mahmudullah, Mahedi Hasan and Towhid Hridoy.

He then took another hat-trick in the Super 8s against Afghanistan, and although he ultimately lost the match, he bowled three consecutive overs to remove Rashid Khan, Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib.

Chris Jordan became the latest bowler to complete a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup, taking four wickets against the United States in a Super 8 match in 2024.

He first dismissed Corey Anderson and then Ali Khan, Nosthush Kenjige and Saurabh Netravalkar in quick succession to become the first English bowler to take a hat-trick in a T20 match.
