How to add more storage slots in The First Descendant
Your storage slots are usually the same as your gear slots, as you can increase your storage slots by leveling up in Mastery. Your Mastery level always increases your gear and storage slots, making this a “free” way to increase your storage and gear capacity.
The advanced way to increase your storage slots is to go into a storage chest and interact with it. Find the “Buy Slots” tab and select it. It will bring up a window where you can buy up to 1,000 slots. Each slot costs 25 calibers, so you’ll need thousands of calibers to max it out. You can buy calibers through the in-game store. You can think of calibers as the game’s premium currency.

There is another way to increase storage slots, and that is to purchase bundles from the in-game store. Most bundles contain some permanent increase to equipment, storage, consumables, and even offspring slots.
All storage types in The First Descendant
To make this clearer, here are the types of inventory you can have in The First Descendant:
- Equipment Slots
- Consumables slots
- Storage slots
- Module slot
Equipment slots are like your backpack or your character’s carrying capacity. They can only hold weapons, exclusive components, and reactors.

Consumable slots hold materials and other consumables. Storage slots hold the same items as equipment slots, but are stored in a chest at your HQ. Modules are chip upgrades that you equip for future generations; each module has its own storage space. It’s already capped at 1,000, so you don’t have to worry about that.
How to increase the capacity of other storage types in First Descendant
The only way to increase the other storage types is through rewards in bundles. At the time of writing, they don’t sell these equipment and consumable slots, but you can get them through bundles in the in-game store. Most of these bundles are one-time offers, so you can’t increase your equipment and consumable slots.
These capacity-enhancing packs usually don’t include offspring. If you have some limited caliber, you should consider whether you want a new offspring or get these packs to improve your “convenience” in the game.
