To unlock the Viper class, you need to accept the quest called “Enter the Viper” by interacting with the event NPC “The Worried Weaver”, who can be found in Uldah – Steps of Nald (X:9.3 Y:9.2).

The “Enter the Serpent” quest is fairly straightforward and upon completion you will receive the following rewards.
- Viper Soul
- Weathered Snakebite Clothing Safe (IL 515)
- Weathered double teeth
- Experience: 224400
Completing this quest will also allow you to perform more Viper-related quests in the Dawntrail expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Viper Requirements
To unlock the Viper Job in FFXIV: Dawntrail, you’ll need to make sure you meet the following requirements.
- You own the Dawntrail expansion pack and it is linked to your account
- Your character has the War Disciple or Magic Disciple class at level 80
That’s all you need to do, and then you can continue on your journey through one of the most satisfying endeavors to date. The move set is fantastic, with plenty of new animations and skills to try out.
