The ICC Championship Trophy is the prestigious one-day international knockout round proposed by ICC in 1998. It was formerly known as the ICC knockout round. The competition was held for the first time in Bangladesh as the Wells International Cup in 1998.

The tournament was later called the ICC Knockout, and since 2002, it was renamed the ICC Championship Trophy. Only the first eight teams were included in the game, and the rule was introduced in 2009.
